What is better than an angry looking, angry revving, powerful Ferrari F12? Don’t look much, because the answer is a more powerful angrier looking Ferrari F12. In 2013, in the Frankfurt auto show, Mansory presented one of the mot powerful tuned Ferraris ever. The La Revoluzione : in English the Revolution, a road beast that devours every drop of fuel and makes it into raging power.

Mansory, who is no stranger to working with Ferraris, as they worked on the V12 599, V8 458, has once again struck hard, with an already powerful model, and gave it its own touch. A full red carbon-fiber body, that has the angry look of LaFerrari but the body of a Berlinetta. Mansory says they fitted the La Revoluzione with an inverse formula one nose to ensure the cooling of the engine, and a better aerodynamic air flow. A new front bumper was mounted with developed air intakes and a middle diffuser. The F12 was all striped from her body, and get offered a new skin, new body works, all in carbon-fiber body, available in red-carbon or the natural carbon-fiber color which is yet more aggressive.


The car gets its power from a twin-turbo 6.3-liter V12 engine that produces 1200 bhp (450 more than the F12) and 890 Nm of torque. This pushes the car from nada to 100 in just 2.9 seconds, and reaches 370 km/h as a top speed. The engine got upgraded compared to the old one, with bigger turbochargers and a specially designed exhaust system to create minimum back pressure.


As far as the wheels are concerned, Mansory fitted the car with 21 inches front wheels and 22 rear wheels. Both are newly designed with five triple spokes with Pirelli performance tyres. The car has new performance brakes, the front are slightly bigger though.

Mercedes Benz S63 AMG

With all the luxury that the Mercedes Benz S class offers, Daimler Group did not stop there, but went for more, more luxury and more power. Let’s say that you are an extremely wealthy business man, with a good taste for cars, you’d buy a BMW 7 series or an Aston Martin Rapide, but what if you want to go there drifting in each corner, reaching top speed in the highway, while still enjoying internet connection and a back massage, well, you’d go for the Mercedes S63 AMG.

Like all Mercedes, before this monster was unveiled to the world, it was tested in the roughest conditions, either in the simulators Mercedes has, or in the mighty Nurburgring circuit, torturing corners, a breath taking straight line, it has everything to, after test completion, deliver to the world a powerful monster. And the result is staggering. The S63 Amg is fitted with the M157 unit, a 5.5 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 585 bhp and 900 Nm pf torque. The main characteristics of the M157 is that it has an All-Aluminium crankcase. It is a direct injection petrol engine with piezo injectors. It has 4 valves per cylinder, has an air-to-water intercooler, and Eco start/stop function, and a composite oil pan. What makes each AMG engine so sophisticated is that each one is hand built and has the signature of the engineer who made it. Mercedes says that the car is electronically limited to 186 mph (300 km/h) and unleashed to its full power it can reach 200 mph and more. It is faster than its predecessor, it goes from stop to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Like the New S AMG E class, power distribution is 33 % front and 67 % in rear, to equal weight distribution. The power is transmitted to the 4 wheels via a 7-speed automatic MCT gearbox. Gear changes occur in jut 0.1 seconds. If the driver



The S63 AMG is 100 kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to a lot of changes, for starters, the All-Aluminium crankcase, and the composite oil pan, help reduce weight, also, the car is fitted with new lighter seats. A new lithium ion battery was introduced and is 20 kg lighter than the standard battery. In addition to all that, the car has an all-aluminium body, body panels, composite brake system (either ceramic or carbon) and a spare wheel recess made of carbon fiber. It has also alloy forged AMG wheels.

The car acquired new front and rear bumpers, with a large air splitter and  two air intakes as the usual AMG front bumper with enlarged front blades. in the rear, the S63 AMG has a rear diffuser, to facilitate air circulation and not creating air vortexes in the back. Stream lines were added in the side of the car. All this makes the car have a low drag coefficient, and a lesser wind resistance. Of course aerodynamics improvement and weight reduction mean a better car handling, and more efficiency, the car achieve up to 23 mpg, 0.4 liter to the 100 km better than the old S63 AMG.


In the inside, it is “Game of Thrones”, a royal luxury is offered. Like the regular S class, the driver has all the state of the art features, supple leathers, exquisite wood garnishment. It has reclining rear seats that can be heated or ventilated, or as a special feature have hot stone massage system. Also, the driver can enjoy a 12 inch TFT screen with navigation systems from Google maps, internet connection, Bluetooth connectivity. In the center of the renewed dashboard, the car is fitted with IWC analog clock. More to that, the car has an AMG steering wheel, fitted with aluminium paddle shifters. To give the car inside a better mood, all lights, are ambient LED. The passengers can enjoy music via improved High end Burmester Surround Sound System or wireless AKG headsets. As far as the rear of the car is concerned, the car is fitted with door-panel mounted armrests, w mini bar, a small pliable table, individual screens, with all the connectivity systems that come with.


All the mentioned above features and improvements come at a great cost, the car costs around €149,880.50 but, it is nothing compared to the driving pleasure.

Last May 15, Mercedes Benz offered the world what was known until now, the best 4 door saloon, or best sedan in the world. The car came with amazing features, way on advance on it direct concurrents : the Audi S8, the BMW 760, any Rolls Royce, the Porsche Panamera… It came already in various variants (S350, S500, S550, S600, S63 AMG, S65 AMG and the S600 guard), and two body styles : the 4 doors sedan or a 2 doors coupe, and there is a 2 doors convertible yet to come.

What makes the S class so special, is its intelligence, it is really the car of the future, in 2014. Mercedes filled it with safety programs, that is it quite impossible to have a car crash it in, it is also fitted with the latest driving features, all made by Mercedes Benz. The programs include but are not limited to : Air balance Package, Magic Body control, a 1st class rear suite (business telephony, relaxing seats, energizing massage functions), Distronic Plus, Pre-safe brakes, Pre-safe plus, active blind spot assist, active lane assist, Stop&go pilot, Active lane keeping assist (if I missed some, they are in the video)… All these features were made to give the most amazing driving experience ever, in the safest way possible.

Mercedes Benz engineers had 3 major priorities: Intelligent drive, Efficient technology and Essence of Driving, and the company’s motto “Best or nothing”. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars says: “Rather than being about safety or aesthetics, power or efficiency, comfort or dynamism, our aspirations were ‘the best or nothing’ in every respect. No other car stands for the Mercedes-Benz brand promise more than the S-Class.” Intelligent drive is achieved by all the assist programs, like active blind spot assist, active lane assist or the Stop&Go pilot. Efficient driving in the other hand is achieved by reducing both weight and the drag coefficient (0.24), also by working on the engine efficiency.

The company motto says, “the best or nothing”. For many Mercedes Benz S class variants, the German giant has presented the world with the best models when it comes to road performance and luxury. In the inside, the most luxurious features were fitted to the S class: natural wood, and aluminium, heated seats, massage, an ambient light and full LED light at night. The car also has the ionizer and Air Balance system to get rid of nasty smell or to regulate pressure at elevations. A royal rear suite makes the client enjoy the ride while he is connected to internet, sending e-mails, the car has an internet WiFi hotspot, and its own business phone, all that can be done, while relaxing in the spacious rear seats, having a drink maybe from the mini bar.

When it comes to driving, and security, Mercedes Benz struck very hard. With all the features it added to the car, it made a new step ahead to the future and to a better road security. All is made  by smart sensors and radars installed all over the car, electronically adjustable suspension and brakes, and the following systems :

Magic Body Control :

It was used on previous Mercedes models such as the S Class and the CLS class, but this time, it is modified, better, smarter. Being already the first car able to detect road modifications, the S Class is fitted with newer more sensitive sensors  that scan the road, and transmit any undulation to the suspension, getting it ready to a bump or a hole. This system adjusts the suspension in 2 settings Comfort or Sport. It is based on the Active Body Control (ABC) that works on improving both comfort and driving dynamics of the car. The Active suspension is made of 4 springs that are fitted with hydraulic cylinders in order to adjust each spring strut individually. The impressive result is that the suspension absorbs the shock and the car’s body is stable. More on it, in the following video

PRE Safe ® :

Mercedes’s Pre-Safe ® is a system destined to avoid accidents and enhance security of the pilot and passengers inside. It controls the dynamic of the car, and the drivers handling of the steering wheel at speeds over 30 km/h. It can sense that a collision may be imminent and gets the car ready for it. Through a web of smart sensors, the system can detect whether a crash could have place or not, either by detecting an object in front of the car, or extreme skidding… How it acts? Tightens seat belts, closes windows (side and sunroof) adjusts passenger seat. All that to make a better readiness for the car’s system and a safer place to the passengers.

Pre-Safe Brakes are the response tool to Pre-safe plus, all that effort to protect the passengers was done, now the car must react to the imminent collision. After detecting it, the car incites the driver to react via audio visual signals, if the system doesn’t receive a signal that that driver is reacting, it initiates emergency brakes. In some cases, Pre- Pre-Safe Brake avoid the collision, in others it reduces its severity. For rear end collisions, this is how the system works :
Before 2.6 seconds : the system warns the driver visually and acoustically and adds more pressure to the brakes when the driver presses on them.
Before 1.6 seconds : already three signals were made, automatic partial braking goes on, and attains 0.4 g (4 m/s²). In the inside the mentioned above functions of Pre-Safe all initiate
Before 0.6 seconds : automatic breaking are initiated reducing the impact of collision.

– Distronic Plus :

It is one of the smartest features made by Mercedes and fitted to the S Class, it works with other systems, especially the Pre-Safe, some of its roles is avoiding collisions. It also works on keeping a distance from the car driving in front of you (thus reducing the risk of rear end collision), or keeping an active line. The job is made by two types of radars, short-range radars and one behind the radiator grille a long-range radar. The short-range radar covers a distance of 20 cm to 30m while the long-range covers up to 60m of scanned distance. It is useful too in stop&go traffic it is even required for heavy breaking situations.

So, that was the S class from Mercedes, the number one luxury class in the US, Top gear’s best luxury class, Sold for 135000$

A few days ago, was unveiled the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat world’s most powerful muscle car, and the fastest ever built. But Dodge wasn’t satisfied with that, it went greedy to beat another impressive record, held by Mercedes Benz for years, the world most powerful sedan. Dodge unveiled yesterday the car that dethroned the S65 AMG, its Dodge Charger Hellcat SRT. Here is the official video by Dodge

Powered by the same Hemi Hellcat engine, a supercharged 6.2L V8 powertrain that produces the same monstrous 707 bhp and 881 Nm of torque, the new Dodge is impressive. In fact it goes from stand still to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, 0.2 faster than the coupe Challenger, and the almost same time for a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in the quarter mile : 11.0 seconds (the test was made on street tires, so it could have been better if they tested the car using race tires). Engine performance make it not only the most powerful sedan ever built and one of the fastest to rival with S65 AMG, Audi S8, BMW 760 and the 5 series, it has the most powerful torque couple produced by a muscle car. It is fitted with an automatic 8-speed gearbox that channels all power to the rear wheels, and has an exhilarating gear change time: just 0.160 seconds. Another record for Dodge, the car goes from 0 to 100 mph in 13 seconds and tops 328 km/h. It is the only production sedan that tops 320 km/h, besides of the Bentley Flying Spur, and the S65 AMG Brabus. All the others are electronically limited to 250 or 260.


On the outside, the car is inspired from the 1969 Dodge Charger. And to make the car have its own looks, engineers have redesigned body panels, fitted it with the following : all new front bumper, a new grill, new modified LED headlamps, a new bonnet, having now new air traps: one big central and two smaller on the sides, back air extractors, and a new rear bumper. The front and rear bumper impose higher aerodynamic performances, and give higher downforce when the car reaches high speeds.


On the inside, the new Hellcat does not differ much from the regular Charger, it does not present many luxurious features: Two sport front heated seats, and heated rear bench, regular not sport. A new feature is the Uconnect system that manages the driving mode. The Hellcat has 5 driving modes : default (nothing so interesting about it), sport (electronic car management for a dynamic driving), Track (maximum car performances), Eco (everything goes economic) and for those who really know their car, they can use the SRT performance app to manage horsepower distribution, traction control, transmission shift speed, steering effort and suspension firmness. It has also a 900W Herman Karton audio system with 18 speakers.

Aston Martin, future AMG partner, will be present in the Peeble Beach Concours d’Élégance as well, next to its British rivals, Land Rover, and Jaguar, announcing four new toys with and major technical upgrades : The Aston Martin Vanquish, Vanquish Volante, Rapide S, and DB9 Volante, we will be more interested in the Vanquish Volante


All the four cars had the courteous improvement from Aston Martin’s in house tuner, Q, not much will be noticed on the design, either in the inside or the outside of the car, only new colors will be brought to scene, but, the cars received mechanical improvement. The most noticeable one is the new 8-speed automatic transmission. Brought by ZF, the new Techtronic III transmission replaces the old, noncompetitive 6-speed auto. Another improvement, is the new transaxle mounting of the gearbox. Q reduced also exhaust gas back pressure, giving the Vanquish Volante 3 more bhp, to total 568 bhp. An impressive 0.5 of a second will be gained in the 0 to 100 km/h time, reducing it to 3.8 seconds, thus, it becomes the fastest accelerating Aston Martin car.

The car will be fitted with the same 6.0L V12 engine, but with a new Bosh management system, more accurate fueling, it produces now 630 Nm of torque. The improvement on the gearbox, especially in the final gear ratio, can make the car top 200 mph (320 kph).


Economy wise, the new transmission improvements, increase fuel economy, reduce CO2 emissions. combined fuel consumption is 31 mpg and CO2 emission decreased from 335g/km in the old Vanquish to 298g/km

The car will have new suspension, with stronger tare, uprated Bilstein dumpers : 15% in the front and 35% for the rear, stiffer anti-roll bars and upper-wishbone bushes at the rear. Bigger new front brakes will be mounted too. The assisted driving system will be revised, si will be the Dynamic stability control, to improve driving performance on the road.

Only few days remain until the Peeble Beach Concours d’Élégance will bring us delightful surprises, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia Turbo, the Last of the Legends, and wait for it, the newest 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR

Range Rover Sport SVR will be the first model to wear the new SVR designation, which will be worn by all future high performance models. It will make its first appearance to public at this week’s Montery Car Week at the Peeble Beach on August 14th. The SVR was just seen in camouflage, and yet it is beating records. It is the most powerful production SUV car Land Rover has ever made, and it is the fastest production SUV around the Nurburgring, doing an impressive 8 minutes and 14 seconds.

All this performance comes from the newest division Land Rover and Jaguar formed : the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations Division whose goal was to deliver to the world the most performing Range Rover ever made. They gave the SVR a lot of good features. The engine, was taken from the Sport Supercharged and The Autobiography, improved, went beyond its limits to join the ranks of the Jaguars XFR-S XKR-S and the F Type R Coupe. The car has now a 5.0L V8 engine producing 542 bhp and 501 Ib.ft of torque, making the car able to compete with its direct rivals, The Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG, The BMW X5 M, and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. It goes from stop to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, 2 tenths of a second faster than the ML63. It will have a limited top speed though, only 260 km/h. All this power will be channeled to the wheels through a tuned ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. As a result, shifts in the gearbox will occur 50% faster than the usual. Gears can be changed automatically, or, via the paddle shifters, or the gearstick.
The SVR will be fitted with 2 Transfer boxes, the driver can choose between sending full torque to the front or rear axle or use the hole Four-Wheel-Drive system. Being always a Land Rover, it will have the Land Rover Terrain Response 2 System as off-road systems. Air suspension and adaptive dampers will give a better driving experience whether in sport mode, or off-road, and to make the SVR corner flatly, it will be fitted with Active Roll control instead of anti-roll bars. It will have also recalibrated Dynamic Active Rear Locking Differential with torque vectoring and retuning of the stability control.

On the outside, the car will have a more aggressive look on the Range Rover Sport with unique front bumper design, larger air intakes and a revised rear bumper. it is will also have a 2 stage exhaust system, with electronically controlled valves. At low revs ( inferior to 3000 RPM) the valves in 2 out of 4 exhausts are closed, and at higher regime, they will open. Land Rover has left enough space between the exhaust tailpipes to place a rear diffuser . Braking is made by a 6-piston caliper brakes, courtesy of Brembo.

Bugatti unveiled The legends series a year ago, in the Lemans 90th anniversary, and on August 15, in the Peeble Beach Concours d’Élégance the world will see the last of them :  The Ettore Bugatti Legend.


The Ettore will be be an honor symbol to the founder of the company, Ettore Bugatti, it will be based on the Bugatti 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, just like all the previous Legends : The Black Bess, The Rembrandt Bugatti, The Meo Costantini, The Jean Bugatti, and The Jean-Pierre Wimille. All named after Bugatti Legends, racing champions. And like all the Legends, only 3 editions will be made. It will be sold at a price of 2.35 million€.


As far as the engine is concerned, it is the same as a Veyron 8.0 L W16, that delivers 1200 bhp and produces 1500 Nm (1106 Ibs-ft) at the range of 3000 to 5000 RPM, allowing the car to get from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.6 seconds to a top speed of 408.84 km/h. Thus being the world fastest roadster. Power is transmitted through a 7-speed DSG (Direct Sequential Gearbox).


The design of the Ettore is based on the historical, yet elegant Type 44 Royale. The body is made of both carbon and hand-polished aluminium and finished with a clear coating making Bugatti the only manufacturer to use clear-coated aluminium on a production vehicle. Aluminium is used for the entire front and side panels including the following : bonnet, mirror housings and bases, exterior door handles, corners of the bumpers. The rear part of the vehicle is finished with dark-blue exposed carbon. The design features also polished, diamond-cut whee, with 8 spoke and dark blue finish.

Moving to the inside, completely luxurious, royal luxury, with 2 types of leather being used:

– Traditional calf leather : it is used throughout the interior.

-Cordovan leather, one of the most expensive types of leather, used on the steering wheel rim, gear lever, door handles…

The most interesting feature in the car interior is the the platinum-coated dancing elephant. It is encrusted in the cover of the rear center box being a voyage in time to remind us of the hood ornament of the Type 41 Royale.



We won’t have to wait long to see the Ettore, it will be unveiled to public at on August 15 at “The Quail : A Motorsport Gathering” and on August 17 at the “Peeble Beach Concours d’Élégance”
