En Tunisie, cet été, et d’ailleurs comme tout été, le paysage autombile se revévie, en termes de Supercars qui viennent elles aussi pour avoir un petit taste de l’environnement Tunisien, plage, et soleil. Cette année, 2017 n’a pas été exceptionnelle par rapport aux précédentes, parce que d’après ce que l’on voit, il y a beaucoup de visiteurs qui sont venues enrichir nos routes déjà riches de voitures exotiques ou de Luxe. Les amateurs Tunisiens de l’automobile n’ont pas manqué à l’occasion pour spotter les nouveaux venus de toute part du monde, au port de la Goulette, à Sousse, à Gammarth, rien ne leur est échappé. Je profite déjà pour remercier leurs efforts, et surout à la page Tunisian Cars.

Commençon déjà par la Lamborghini la plus suivie en Tunisie, c’est une Huracàn Spyder qui cache sous

 

son capot un V10 5,2L qui développe 610 chevaux. Cette voitue a tout l’esprit Lamborghini, avec un esprit et des lignes de design aggressives. le 0 à 100 est parcouru en seulement 3,4 secondes, la vitesse maximale (quoi qu’elle ne sera atteinte sur nos routes est de 325 km/h) pour les amoureux de la Spyder, le toit s’ouvre en quelques 17 secondes, et après folie aux cheveux.

La Lambo Huracàn n’était pas la seule star sur la route, parce qu’il y a sur cette terre un point où, luxe, beauté, intelligence et puissance se rassemblent pour créer une des plus belles voitures au monde, c’est bien évidemment la Mercedes Maybach S600

Basée sur le “yacht” de luxe de Mercedes, qui est la classe S, cette voiture est en compétition directe avec des grandes luxuries telle que La Bentley Mulsanne, et le géant Rolls Royce, mais, à part le luxe intérieur, la Maybach a une très grande présence d’esprit sur la route. Pour la puissance, elle a tout ce qu’il faut, là où il faut, un 6.0L 12 cylindres biturbo de puissance de 530 chevaux et d’un couple maximal de 850 Nm. Bien sur pour un tel luxe, il faut un prix, proche de 200,000$. Bien sur pour différecier, pour nos petits amateurs, il faudra juste regarder derrière la porte passager pour trouver le sigle de maybach.

Comme toute autre, cette petite Porsche Boxter Spyder (ou si vous préférez bien 718) est venue se “rafraîchir” la peinture un peu, venu du Kuwait. Bien sur, elle ne va pas entrer en compétition contre celles qu’on vient juste de revoir, mais elle a toujours la touche de Porsche en elle, avec 300 cheveaux sous le capot, elle sait parcourir 100m en 4.0 secondes. Elle est commercialisée en Tunisie pour le prix de 325,000 dinars.

Par contre celle qui peut jouer sur les routes contre la Porsche 718 Boxster est la petite Audi TTS. Elle prend un peu de tout le la famille Volkswagen, de sa soeur Audi A3, de la Golf, mais, elle a un caractère a elle toute seule, déjà au niveau puissance, elle n’est pas loin de la Boxster, 292 cheveaux contre 300, la course de 0 à 100 km/h est pour 4,2 secondes contre 4,0 pour la Porsche, et ce qui pousse la TTS est petit 2.0L furieux en acier.

Revenons un peu aux puissantes et aux folles de la route, et là c’est la Ferrari 599 qui se promène sur nos routes. Large, puissante, et elle porte le badge Ferrari, cette voiture a de quoi se rendre fière. Elle a été produite en 2006, pour être la rivale de la Murcielago. Le monstre à l’intérieur est un 6.0L 12 cylindres en V, 48 valves, sa respration d’air aboutit au refoulement de 620 chevaux. La paticularité avec cette voiture est que la boîte vitesse F1 lui donne la possibilité de changer les rapports en manière éclair, le contrôle de traction vient aussi de F1, et le contrôle moteur aussi et les ordiateurs de bord utilisent aussi la même technologie.

Et qui d’autre est venue se bonzer à part la Mercedes AMG GT S. Cette petite est la remplaçante de la SLS AMG. Bien sur il y a eu que du nouveau, déjà l’ectérieur qui se rapproche plus d’une Porsche 911, avec un habitacle en forme de Greenhouse. Le 6.2L AMG codé M156 n’y est plus et a été remplacé par le M178, un moteur plus petit, qui est à se jour entrain de subir des tests et des développement à Stuttgart. La puissance est de 510 chevaux, c’était moins que la SLS, 100 chevaux de moins, mais le géant allemand se rattrappe.

Comment rendre une Range Rover Evoque plus belle? Tout simplement en réduisant deux portes et en libérant le toit, le résultat est un Coupé Cabriolet impressionant, avec la puissance habituelle (177 chevaux ou 237 chevaux seln le moteur) d’une évoque. Noton bien qu’une évoque en Tunisie est à partir de 150,000 tnd, donc la cabriolet, si par hasard sera plus chère que ça, mais bon.

Tout ce paysage, ne sera complet qu’avec la présence d’une Bentley Continental. Blanche, les jantes noires, aec le logo de Bentley au centre, 521 chevaux, et une vitesse folle. Bien sur, lorsqu’on dit Bentley, on dit stabilité de route, voyez déjà combien qu’elle est large, on dit puissance, déjà évoquée, on dit perection, si vous jetez un petit coup d’oeil sur les ailes avant, la calendre, et la forme, tout participe à aggiper la voiture au sol pour avoir plus de vitesse et de tenue de route.

Audi R8

 

Audi revealed the new A5 and S5 sportback before its world debut in the Paris Auto Show. The second generation Audi A5 Sportback will be sold in both Europe and America.

The Audi A5 Sportback, for those who are not used to the Audi Nomenclature system, is a 4-door version of the 2017 Audi A5. Resemblance is near with the previous generation Sportback and the Audi A4 on which it is based. It comes with two engine variant, a small 2.0L straight 4 engine, produces 252 bhp from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and 370 Nm of torque between 1,600 and 4,500 rpm, coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for the A5. There is also a 3.0L turbocharged V6, making 354 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, this one is coupled to a 8-speed automatic gearbox, available for the S5. Audi said that the 3.0L engine will take the car from 0 to 100 kph in 4.7 seconds and his top speed is 250 kph. Both variants come with Audi’s All-wheel-drive.

The new Audi A5 comes with driver assist features like the collision avoidance auto braking, adaptive cruise control that can assist the driver in acceleration, speed (limit to 40 mph), breaking and even steering, traffic jam assist, park assist, cross-traffic assist rear, exit warning, turn assist, collision avoidance assist and camera-based recognition of traffic signs. The interior is spacier with 17 mm larger cabin, 11 mm more in shoulder space and 25 mm more for knee space compared to the previous A5. The A5 features a high resolution screen to run all infotainment and control systems.

The most powerful Audi R8 ever produced

When the Audi R8 first appeared, it was quite charming, a baby Audi, that could wreak havoc on the road, with collaborations between Audi and Lamborghini Engineers. It had an astonishing V8 engine, but the most impressive version came with the V10 from the Gallardo. Right now, Audi presented the world with the second generation of R8: The Audi R8 V10 Plus.

Flash news, the second generation R8 won’t come with a cheap V8 alternative, only the 5.2L V10 version will be available with a whooping 610 bhp and 560 Nm @6500 Rpm. Power is transferred to the four wheels via a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, the 6-speed automatic will no longer be used. 0 to 60 is achieved in 3.2 seconds and the top speed is 205 mph (330 kph). There is another engine alternative though, less powerful, dubbed the V8 V10 that can produce 70 bhp less than the V10 plus i.e 532 bhp in total.

The New Audi R8 comes with new features, most remarkable of which is the new S-tronic transmission, which allows the car to open both clutches starting from speeds close to 35 mph, allowing the car to consume less fuel. Not only that, it comes with three driving modes : comfort, auto and dynamic. And if the driver likes to enjoy a nice cruise, he can use the manual paddle shift mode. The R8 V10 plus was developed in the same time and with the same engineer team as the Audi R8 LMS, so Audi expect high in and off track performance. We can add also that the All-wheel-has been added a new electrohydraulic multi-plate clutch differential that allows the engine torque to be fully transferred to the front wheels, fully to the rear wheels, or distribute it in different percentage

Being compared to the first generation of the Ardi R8, the second generation has lost significant weight, 110 pounds, and comes with a new 40% stiffer body structure. It comes with standard Carbon-Ceramic brakes. The interior is more race oriented. It has been added some screens, light materials to the construction. The first Glimpse at the Audi R8 was in the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and now Audi teased with it in the NAIAS 2016.

Audi says that the starting price will be, and hold on to your chairs, between 165,000$ and 185,000$. Competitors will be the Mercedes AMG GT, the Ferrari 488, the Lamborghini Huracan, the mighty Porsche 911 GT3 RS and even the Bentley Continental GT Speed

Audi RS3 2

The world has seen many impressive hatchbacks, the Ford Focus ST, The Fiesta, the Golf GTI, and it was the turn of the giants to go into that race, like Mercedes-Benz with the A class, made most powerful Hatch in the world. With competition being fierce, Audi presented its new hatchback, the RS3, and it the most powerful between them all.

Numbers : The RS3 is powered by a 2.5 L 5 cylinder TFSI engine, that develops 367 bhp. The engine boosts the car from stop to 100 kph in 4.3 seconds, and top speed limit has been pushed up to 280 kph. The power is channeled to the four wheels via a 7-speed multi-disk double-clutch S tronic transmission. Audi fitted it with Launch control. The RS3 is fitted with the Audi Quattro system with torque vectoring. Fuel consumption is 8.1 L to the 100 km, with CO2 emissions of 189 grams per kilometer. It is said to cost around 40,000€.

The new RS 3 weighs close to 1655 kg, and with the power from its engine, it can go sideways, play with its tail as any hot hatch can do. The multidisk hydraulic clutch can, and with the help of the revised Quattro system, transfer all the power to the rear wheels. The driver can enjoy it more with the ESC (electronic stability control) off, that is when the car forgets all about the electronic mambo jumbo, and goes crazy sideways.

It is like one can’t get enough of Japanese cars. They are sexy, good looking, astonishing, infinitely good performant, luxurious. They are the whole package. And when you think to yourself that they will stop there, they surely outdo themselves. Take Infiniti for example, it produces nice cars, even better with F1 tech from the Red Bull team. The new car they are presenting, have been teased before, and now the wait is over, and it has been unveiled.

Power :

Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the newest Infiniti comes with style, luxury, and yes, power. It is named : The Q60 Concept. It is powered by the new generation of v6 engines, a 3.0L v6 turbocharged generation with direct injection, and these do come with all the power needed to fight big cars even that they are small, courtesy to Infiniti. The engines are announced to be more efficient and more powerful. It is expected that they’ll develop 550 bhp, coupled to a hybrid power unit. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Being smaller, they have reduced fuel consumption and C02 emissions. Infiniti is really following the saying “with great power, comes great responsibility” to the point. They are really responsible towards earth.

Design : 

One of the most remarkable features of the Q60 is its sporty, muscular look. The car is 184.6 inches long. It sits on 21 inch wheels with contrasting black and silver spokes. From the behind, it looks like Mercedes latest coupe, the S class coupe, but, its front and sides are inspired from the Infiniti Q50 and the Q80. It has the same strong, front grille as the Q50, the same angry look Infiniti offers to its cars now. However, the car has it own styling, it has a long nose, but a shorter deck, it is quite wide (73.4 inches wide). Lines, and shapes define the direction of the car’s design.

Interior :

The 2+2 interior offers a great luxury, and looks really elegant. It is based on the Q50, already, it has many of its instruments. The instruments panel has hand-stitched leather wrapping, it has also two tones, black, that offers a contrast feature to the sporty inside look, and white. Leather is present on the seats too, with personalized stitching. The doors are carbon-fiber.

Materials used to make the body are mostly aluminium alloys. Some strong steel and carbon-fiber parts do exist, but, the body is mostly aluminium.

The Infiniti Q60 will surely compete against Japanese car number 1 rival, the M4 Series by BMW, that car is really getting on the Japanese people’s nerves. Of course, the Lexus RC, the Audi A5 coupe will be in Infiniti’s visor.

Audi Prologue Concept

Being a good maker of clean sublime cars, like the A6, A7 or A5, Audi, presented a new concept model, that defines well the future of the company, as well as its actual place in the market. In the LA Auto Show, Audi presented the Audi Prologue Concept, an astonishing 2-doors coupe, that made a lot of people talk about.

“We don’t want to be too up-to-date, which two years later is already outdated. We want to stay really modern and display the latest technology, but not in an over-complicated way. Stay logical, because design that survives, it has a kind of logical function.” says Parys Cybulski, exteriour designer.

The futuristic design of The Prologue, puts it ahead of its competitors, somehow. It has a larger center grille, a lower front end, to give it sportier looks, it sits on 22-inch alloy wheels, it has all-wheel-drive, and it will be the base of the future coming Audi’s. It is said that it will be competing against the S class coupe. One more noticeable feature is the lights, both front headlights, that are using, wait for it, Laser technology, and it is a way to gain weight, and be futuristic, and the rear 3D lights, a long bar that goes on all the car width.

Underneath the hood, it has 4.0 TFSI engine, that produces 605 bhp, be careful AMG GT, someone has a small engine and a lot of power, and this someone is from Germany, like you. The Quattro technology, permits Audi to place a more forward engine, with a lot of space to the front and rear wheels. It has a developed exhaust system, that will make a serious noise.

What about the interior then? As you can see, it is classy, elegant, it is everything Audi is about. There is a large central screen, touch display, through which you can communicate with the car and the passenger, in fact, the screen is divided between them, the passenger now can give an idea about the roads, and other things, and send them to the driver via a switch. It reminds us of the spirit of the rally. It is a Gran Turismo based design, that offers both luxury and sportiness, but no extravagance.

Its production hasn’t been confirmed yet, therefore there is no price on it, but one thing is sure, Audi is back for the game.

The Swedish department of the German magazine, Auto Motor und Sport, has confirmed the rumors that were told about the Audi R10. Audi is to make this hypercar, to enter in competition with Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche… And it is as a result to the huge success Audi is getting in LeMans series.

The Audi R10 is based on the successful R18 e-Tron, but it is a road car. That is a very good news to all Audi’s fans around the world. Audi was known to produce clean cars, with the right amount of performance, something you can use while taking your family in vacation, and still look reasonable and cool to their eyes. However when it came to supercars, R8 was well presented, but it was not a car to compete against Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martins. It lacked power and weight control.

With the new R10, Audi is hoping to get everything fixed. For starters, the diesel engine idea was rejected, and Audi is considering a petrol engine alternative. It is considering, a more powerful V10, twin-turbocharged, it is said to produce 850 bhp, yet, there is a rumor about a hybrid variant that could produce even 1000 bhp. It will be more powerful that the LaFerrari, the 918, the P1 engines, but would it be as fast? Rumors say that the R10 will include a cylinder-deactivation system technology, that is a technology that allows the engine to operate only under 6 cylinders regime when it is not on full power, and that is one way to save energy.

Concerning the design, it is said to be based on the R18 e-tron, aerodynamically and aesthetically similar to it. The chassis is slightly larger than the R8 one’s, but will be stronger.

Price may reach 1 million €, and production would be programmed for 2016. There are a lot of rumors about the car, but, it is closer to reality now.
