Is there any way to make a Jaguar F-type any more interesting? apparently someone can. SVR, the tuning division for Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar, has the answer for that question, and it is definitely a HELL YES!!

Due to massive leakage for test spyshots, Jaguar decided to reveal the F-type SVR earlier than predicted in the NAIAS 2016, And what a machine it is : more powerful, faster and with a better exhaust note compared to the regular F-type.

The F-type was powered by a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine, with a 550 bhp. The SVR edition is more powerful, it produces 575 bhp from its supercharged 5.0 V8 engine, and 700 Nm of torque going to the four wheels. It comes with a 8-speed automatic, goes from stop to 100 kph in four tenth o a second faster than the regular F-type, which is in just 3.7 seconds, and reaches 194 mph (312 kph) as a top speed. The car gets all the gases out via a lighter (26 pounds lighter) Titanium exhaust. It is fitted with larger air intakes, a larger nose with larger splitter and more air vents, all that allows the engine to have more air to produce more power and get better cooling. In the rear, aerodynamic stability is guaranteed with the use of a large rear diffuser, for a better air channeling under the car, and a large rear wing. Careful guys, don’t let it fly!!

At the Jaguar’s stand the press was all interested in the XE and XE-S models. Produced to be a rival to the BMW 3-series, the Mercedes C class, the Audi A4 or even the Lexus IS, the XE type is just impressive. For drift passionate, it is a rear-wheel-drive, so enjoy.

This little model from jaguar comes in different engine variants, both in petrol and diesel, diesel said to be best-seller in the UK. The base petrol is a 2.0L turbo, four cylinders engine, that develops 200 bhp and 240 NM of torque. It has a range of 37.7 mpg and 179g/km CO2 emission. For the diesels, there is a 2.0l Turbo, will less power, only 161 bhp and 380 Nm. The diesel engine is more efficient, it has a better range than the 2.0l petrol, 75 mpg and is cleaner, it is the cleanest engine in the XE line, it does only 99g/km CO2 emission. This engine is taken from the “JLR” line. If this is not enough power, there is a more powerful version of the diesel that produces 180 bhp and 430 Nm of torque, ha a 67.3 mpg range, and coughs 109 of CO2 per km. Still not enough? well, there is the XE-S, a 3.0l V6 petrol engine, it is the most powerful of the line with 340 bhp and 450 Nm. Jaguar said it is able to take the car from stop to 62 mp in 5.1 seconds. There are two transmissions options available, ZF 8-speed auto for the petrol engines and 6-speed manuals for the diesels.

The XE is based on the XF, it is clear, since it has the same front, there is a slight modification to the front lights, and the XE has bigger frontal air intakes, but it general, they look similar. The XE is characterized by an aluminium body structure, aluminium is also present in the hood, the doors and the trunk. To give it a sportier look, the car is fitted with big front air intakes, in the front bumper, a rear spoiler, gloss black rear valance, red brake calipers. It sits on 19″ wheels with an option to 20″. With a 0,26 drag coefficient, it is the most aerodynamic Jaguar ever produced. The car has the same nose wheel as the F-type. It ha an “Integral link” specific rear suspension.

In the inside, it is clear, that the cabin was based on the XF Jaguar, same setting, same materials. It is notable that the shift lever was replaced by a retractable button. There is an 8″ touch screen with sat nav, radio control. A laser Heads-up-display comes as an option feature. The XE can be connected to via a hotpot Wi-fi. The luggage compartment was upgraded to a 455L volume, it is 20L shy from its rivals.

The announced models are : Pure, Prestige, Portfolio, R-sport and S, their prices vary between, 27,000£ to 45,000£. But they are worth every penny of that

Only few days remain until the Peeble Beach Concours d’Élégance will bring us delightful surprises, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia Turbo, the Last of the Legends, and wait for it, the newest 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR

Range Rover Sport SVR will be the first model to wear the new SVR designation, which will be worn by all future high performance models. It will make its first appearance to public at this week’s Montery Car Week at the Peeble Beach on August 14th. The SVR was just seen in camouflage, and yet it is beating records. It is the most powerful production SUV car Land Rover has ever made, and it is the fastest production SUV around the Nurburgring, doing an impressive 8 minutes and 14 seconds.

All this performance comes from the newest division Land Rover and Jaguar formed : the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations Division whose goal was to deliver to the world the most performing Range Rover ever made. They gave the SVR a lot of good features. The engine, was taken from the Sport Supercharged and The Autobiography, improved, went beyond its limits to join the ranks of the Jaguars XFR-S XKR-S and the F Type R Coupe. The car has now a 5.0L V8 engine producing 542 bhp and 501 Ib.ft of torque, making the car able to compete with its direct rivals, The Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG, The BMW X5 M, and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. It goes from stop to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, 2 tenths of a second faster than the ML63. It will have a limited top speed though, only 260 km/h. All this power will be channeled to the wheels through a tuned ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. As a result, shifts in the gearbox will occur 50% faster than the usual. Gears can be changed automatically, or, via the paddle shifters, or the gearstick.
The SVR will be fitted with 2 Transfer boxes, the driver can choose between sending full torque to the front or rear axle or use the hole Four-Wheel-Drive system. Being always a Land Rover, it will have the Land Rover Terrain Response 2 System as off-road systems. Air suspension and adaptive dampers will give a better driving experience whether in sport mode, or off-road, and to make the SVR corner flatly, it will be fitted with Active Roll control instead of anti-roll bars. It will have also recalibrated Dynamic Active Rear Locking Differential with torque vectoring and retuning of the stability control.

On the outside, the car will have a more aggressive look on the Range Rover Sport with unique front bumper design, larger air intakes and a revised rear bumper. it is will also have a 2 stage exhaust system, with electronically controlled valves. At low revs ( inferior to 3000 RPM) the valves in 2 out of 4 exhausts are closed, and at higher regime, they will open. Land Rover has left enough space between the exhaust tailpipes to place a rear diffuser . Braking is made by a 6-piston caliper brakes, courtesy of Brembo.
