In 2009 when the Porsche Panamera was announced, everyone was surprised to the idea of a 4-door saloon Porsche. First models appeared in 2010, and since, the Porsche Panamera has been rocking on the roads. The new Porsche Panamera is just impressive, with design evolution, and new technology introduced. It comes to suite all tastes, in multiple engine variants, in  twin-turbocharged v6 to twin-turbocharged v8.


The engines available will be 2.9 twin-turbocharged v6 engine (this will replace the old 3.0L engine), 4.0 twin-turbocharged V8 and something from the big factory, from Audi’s (since the two are under Volkswagen) the 4.2L twin-turbo diesel. Also, there will be no more 7-speed double-clutch PDK gearbox, it will be replaced with the newest 8-speed PDK gearbox. For now, Porsche models will be all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive variants may be announced later. In addition to all this, the new Panamera will be build on a new plateform, that is larger, longer, offers more space, and lighter. The most remarkable variant is the Porsche Panamera Turbo, with its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with twin scroll turbochargers and VarioCam Plus. It produces 550 hp @5750 to 6000 RPM and 770 Nm @ 1950 to 4000 RPM of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 kph takes just 3.6 seconds, beating the Audi S8, the BMW 7 series, The Mercedes Benz S 63 AMG and the Bentley Flying Spur W12 S. Top speed is 190 mph (305 kph). The price is announced at 146,900$


The new design features new headlights using 48 separate LED’s. The front and rear bumper are changed, and the car has been fitted newly designed bumpers. For the back lights, they are new, with a bar that goes on all the width. The increase in the wheelbase by 30mm contributed to increase the length of the car by 35mm, the car is also 5mm wider and 5mm wider. The elements that were modified are : bumpers, side sills, wings, roof, bonnet, rear hatch and the rear spoiler. The retractable rear spoiler is larger, and divided into three retractable parts, to allow more air lift surface. Use of light materials for the car parts decreased the weight by 70 kg.

In the interior, Porsche people fitted what they call Porsche Advanced Cockpit, which resembles to the cockpit of the Porsche 918. The interior is luxurious, sporty, and gives the driver an interface to communicate with his car. Progress obliges, all the buttons have been replaced with either touch-sensitive buttons or a 12.5-inch touch-screen to give an “à la mode” tech look.


Porsche will announce other models in the Paris Auto Show and upcoming shows, so stay tuned.


Bentley cars have always been fast and luxurious, but not fast enough it seems, because they always go close to the 200 mph bar, without being able to go beyond it. But not anymore, because, Bentley just announced the new Flying Spur W12 S, and it tops 202 in speed.

It is powered by a tweaked version of the 6.0L W12 twin-turbocharged engine, with improved engine management kit. So there is a slight raise in power, from 615 to 626 bhp and torque from 800 to 820 Nm. maximum torque will be achieved starting from 2000 rpm. The new Flying Spur sprints from 0 to 100 kph will take 4.5 seconds, which is a bit slow, compared to the Mercedes S63 AMG (3.9 seconds) and the Audi S8 (3.8 seconds). The car will carry on cruising until getting to the top speed of 202 mph (325 kph), thus getting the title of the fastest 4-door Bentley. Bentley all-wheel-drive and the 8-speed automatic will come as standards.

The Flying Spur W12 S is quite recognizable with a new Beluga Gloss radiator grill, new lights surrounds, window surrounds, rear bumper and door handles that are all finished in black. Also, it has a new rear diffuser and a carbon-fiber veneer in option. Buyers have the choice between 21-inches 5-spokes set of wheels, or 7-spokes set of wheels. Carbon-Ceramic brakes come as standard.


The interior is dark and luxurious. It is characterized by black engin-spin finish to the fascia and waistrails as a standard, or satin carbon-fiber finish as an option. W12 S emblems are found on the headrests. The interior features also a 3-spokes sport steering wheel, with knurled gear-shift paddles.

The Bentley Flying Spur will be revealed in the Paris Auto Show, deliveries will start in the end of this year.

Audi revealed the new A5 and S5 sportback before its world debut in the Paris Auto Show. The second generation Audi A5 Sportback will be sold in both Europe and America.


The Audi A5 Sportback, for those who are not used to the Audi Nomenclature system, is a 4-door version of the 2017 Audi A5. Resemblance is near with the previous generation Sportback and the Audi A4 on which it is based. It comes with two engine variant, a small 2.0L straight 4 engine, produces 252 bhp from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and 370 Nm of torque between 1,600 and 4,500 rpm, coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for the A5. There is also a 3.0L turbocharged V6, making 354 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, this one is coupled to a 8-speed automatic gearbox, available for the S5. Audi said that the 3.0L engine will take the car from 0 to 100 kph in 4.7 seconds and his top speed is 250 kph. Both variants come with Audi’s All-wheel-drive.

The new Audi A5 comes with driver assist features like the collision avoidance auto braking, adaptive cruise control that can assist the driver in acceleration, speed (limit to 40 mph), breaking and even steering, traffic jam assist, park assist, cross-traffic assist rear, exit warning, turn assist, collision avoidance assist and camera-based recognition of traffic signs. The interior is spacier with 17 mm larger cabin, 11 mm more in shoulder space and 25 mm more for knee space compared to the previous A5. The A5 features a high resolution screen to run all infotainment and control systems.


The price and the rest of the options were not announced yet, more to come on the Mondial de l’Auto on the Sep 29th.



Kia Rio Sketches

Kia best selling model (470000 sold units around the globe) in 2015, will come to Paris Auto Show (Mondial de l’automobile) in a new look, presented by Kia only in sketch form, and we hope it will look as great as it does on paper.

Kia did not give much information about the new Rio, so we expect more at the presentation in Paris. But the sketch looks a bit more aggressive, sportier, and with a bit of attitude. Designers in South Korea, Germany and California did many changes to the exterior and interior design. Kia promises great practicality and use of new technology to guarantee a safer driving. Competition will be of course with Ford Fiesta.



After many customers complaints that they were not getting enough from the 505 bhp old Bentley Mulsanne, Bentley came up with a newer, more powerful version with plenty of torque. It is the Mulsanne Speed, that was improved in every way compared to the old one thanks to the help of professional drivers and chauffeurs.


Customization started from the engine. The Mulsanne has a 6.75l V8 that produces 530 bhp and 1100 Nm of torque. This increase in power and torque, is due to revision to the turbocharging system, a revamped compression ratio, new combustion chamber, inlet ports, spark plugs, fuel injectors. The optimized turbocharging system now is boosting the car even at low Rpm’s. As a result, the bullet Mulsanne accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4,8 seconds, 5,3 for the base car, which is pretty impressive if you note the weigh of the car : 2,6 tonnes. The 8-speed paddle-shifted gearbox is reworked to give a better torque. Top speed is expected to be around 300 to 305 km/h.


The car has improved fuel consumption and CO2 emission as well. Now, thanks to better control of the combustion, optimizing of the variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation system, the Mulsanne Speed can do up to 80 km on a single fuel tank. It has a fue consumption of 12 to 19 Mpg in city and highway, and 14 mpg combined. The CO2 emission improved by 23% compared to the older model, and now the car does only 342g/km.


There are 3 variable driving modes in the car : The “S” mode, which keeps the engine revs up to receive boosts from the turbochargers in full time, the Sport mode, which stiffens the suspension, adjusts the steering for a sportier drive, and the custom mode which is dedicated for the drivers who know what they are doing, therefore they can adjust the engine, suspension, brake setting to their taste of driving.

The Mulsanne Speed saw the light only 15 days of being revealed on the internet, it will cost up to 350000€ to get a two-months hand-assembled luxurious Bentley Mulsanne, the torquiest sedan in the world.

There were many surprises at the Paris Auto Show, one of which was the amazing Volkswagen XL Sport. It is based on the XL 1, that symbolizes the partnership between Ducati and Volkswagen. The XL Sport is an updated, more powerful version of the XL1.

The car has a rear mounted Ducati V-twin Superleggera 1199 engine, slightly modified than the one used on the XL1. It is the most powerful two-cylinder engine, that can rev up to 11000 Rpm. Ducati uses a hand fabrication and high-precision manufacturing industrial process. and the result is staggering. The engine is now a tough engne, it has strong light titanium connecting roads, double-overhead camshafts. It has a bore/stroke ratio of 112 mm by 60.8 mm. The two cylinders are disposed in 90° configuration, they feature desmodromic valve control, thus ensuring the best valve clearance. Magnesium was used in different parts of the engine such as the  clutch, cylinder head, oil pan covers, the throttle valve discs and the fuel injectors, which are two per cylinder. As a result, the total power is 200 bhp and 134 Nm. The engine has the best power to weight ration of any motorcycle ever made. The car can reach 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds (which is a bit tomorrow in supercars time) and tops 168 mph. The car has a doube-clutch DSG 7-speed gearbox fitted to it

The XL Sport does look like the XL1 model, but it has better aerodynamics. the frontal area is 1.7 sq m and the drag coefficient Cd is one of the lowest available 0.258, there fore the Cda is 0.44 sq m. The car has a higher downforce, wider tires air intakes for air cooling, special vanes used to channel the air in the front, the underbody was reworked to get a better aerodynamic result, air ducts on the hood, an extendable rear spoiler (that uses the same electric motor as the Lamborghini Aventador) and a rear diffuser. The are air cooling vents in the rear to cool the power unit of the car. Other then the aerodynamics, the XL sport is wider, larger, but has the same height as the old XL1. It is 168 in long, 72.7 in large, has a 87.6 in long wheelbase, and 45.4 in high. It has a newer, revised chassis as well.

In the inside, the two cars look similar as well. The Sport has a red finishing in the seats. Aluminium, and leather are used in the interior. It houses a digital instrument cluster (lap timer, oil pressure display..). The steering wheel is decorated by red stitching and has aluminium shift-paddles mounted to it. The air vents have aluminium accents, same as the DSG shift gate.

500 units will be produced, which is the double of the XL1’s. In terms of sport car values, the XL Sport stands well, Volkswagen did a great job, used newer materials, to gain weight, and efficiency, they claim that the car will do a 1L/km which is really needed in today’s conditions.

The Lagonda is back, revealed on the Paris Auto Show, keeping almost the same angle-shaped design. It is however destined for Middle east markets only. The old Aston Martin Lagonda was one of the first cars to use computerized engine management, and a digital instrumentation panel. But this time, Aston Martin did not reveal much about the newer car. It is based on the Rapide S, it is 5.4  m long, and has a 3.18m long wheel base.


It is said that the car, will have the same engine in the Rapide S, which is a 6.0l v12 engine, deiveling 560 bhp and 620 Nm of torque. Power transmission to the rear wheels will be via a 6-speed auto gearbox from ZF. The car is expected to do 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, and reach 300 km/h in top speed.
Same as the Lagonda, and the Rapide S on which the new Lagonda is based, it is a super luxurious saloon car. The interior is covered with leather, courtesy of Q. The car has a lighweight aluminium body structure, same as the Vanquish and other models of Aston Martin. The front has a larger grille, the one used for the 1976′ Lagonda was a few square centimeters. The car uses full LED lights.

Infiniti, Nissan’s high class brand car, comes with a new model, the Q80 Inspiration. It gives a clear idea about the future of the brand, and its current position in the auto market. Presented as a concept today in the Paris Auto Show, it is not a car to joke around with, it is serious, to be in competition with the Europeans, such as Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW… It is presented as a concept, but Infiniti confirm the production


It is powered by a hybrid powerunit, a thermal direct injection 3.0 V6 biturbo engine that produces 450 bhp, and an ion-lithium battery powered electric engine, that produces 1100 bhp, this makes a grand total of a 550 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. It has hooked to it, a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Two modes of transmission available, the driver can chose between rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, depending on the roads, or his style of driving.


The Q80 has an innovative design, both in the inside or the outside. The car is 5.05m long, a few inches to catch the S class, but it is wider, 2.02m in width, and it is 1.38m high. It has 22 inches wheels. the body is a 4 doors fastback with antagonist opening doors, that is the mot catching feature about the car. In the inside, it is the future already, the driver has a HUD on the windshield, that shows constant informations about the car. The front passenger has a dedicated screen, to share information from hi smartphone, or any connectable device. Rear passengers can enjoy both space, and technology, it is spacious inside, and they each have a rear tactile screen. The car has an ambient lighting, either by LEDs or via the panoramic roof panel. High class materials were used in the interior such as carbon-fiber, aluminium, luxurious leather. The seats are comfortable, finished in leather and metal. The car seats only four persons.


The car has new technological systems to offer a better driving, such as but not limited to, advaced adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, Direct Response Hybrid, which is a system that helps manage fuel to get a staggering 5,5l/km fuel consumption and 129g/km CO2 emissions. This translates Infiniti’s theory on getting a semi-self-drivable cars in the future.

With The International Auto Show in Paris starting, auto makers got crazy revealing all new models, with new techs and smaller engines that produce a huge amount of power, but there is one in particular that stood faithful to its traditions, the tradition of big muscle cars Chevy engines. The new Corvette is amongst us, and it is just impressive.


Tests have proven that this car is just crazy, with the right amount of power. Chevrolet claims that it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in jut 2.95 seconds and does the quarter mile in 10.95 seconds at a speed trap of 127 mph with an automatic 8-speed gearbox. However, with the manual 7-speed gearbox, it goes to 100 in 3.2 seconds and does the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds with the same top speed. This is impressive, but having a look on the engine, it is all understandable. In fact the new Corvette is powered by a supercharged LT4 6.2L V8 that delivers 650 bhp and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to go from stop to crazy world of speed in seconds. The engine block and cylinders are made from aluminium, A356T6 aluminium for the cylinders, and it is strong and heat resistant. It uses a Eaton TVS supercharger mounted on top of it (the engine). The LT4 uses forged pistons, titanium connecting roads and intake valves. It is then the most powerful Corvette ever made


On the outside, engineers used many materials to make the car lighter, and stronger in the same time. It has a carbon fiber roof and hood, composite floor panels, aluminium hydroformed frame for the doors. It is all similar to the C7 Stingray, these two models share a lot, but the corvette is more of a street car than a racer. The Corvette is wider, the rear is widened by 80 mm, 56 mm for the front. It has larger vents, to provide a better air flow for the engine, the brakes, and transmission. There is a convertible version to be expected. The car sits on larger Michelin summer-only Pilot Super Sport ZP tires to guarantee more grip. It has a new grille, that is larger, has larger brake-cooling intakes and wider outlets. It has a larger air intake vent, on the hood. The car uses three levels of aerodynamics packages :
Level 1 : it is the standard level one package, the car uses a front splitter, front wheels openings, a larger cooling vent, and a rear spoiler (it is taken from the 251 Performance package used on the Corvette Stingray)
Level 2 : sportier, it is the Carbon-fiber Aero-Package, it adds all the following in carbon-fiber : front splitter, plates, rocker panels, larger rear spoiler.
Level 3 : The performance package. It uses the same carbon fiber rocker panels from level two, has larger plates to the front splitter, with adjustable rear spoiler. GM says that this package has the greatest downforce levels.
In addition to all that, the car uses Brembo Performance brakes. 14,6 inches two-piece brakes rotors in the rear and 6 piston fixed calipers in the front should stop the car in no time, as a result, the car goes from 62 mph back to stop in just 99.6 ft (30 m)


The cabin is sporty, with sporty colors, red and black are used. Two seating choices are in offer : the GT seats, for a comfortable ride, or a competition for a more aggressive seating option. Both seats structure is made from magnesium, for a weight gain purpose. All the interior is fully wrapped with premium, soft-touch materials, such as, Napa leather, aluminium, carbon-fiber and sueded microfiber. Technological advance gadgets are present as well, like the Chevrolet Mylink system which allows you to connect your phone, and get it screened on an 8 inch screen, to get to your calls and texts.


Price, it is under 100k$, it is the most powerful car under 100k$ GM has ever made or tested, it will only cost 78,995$, but it is impressive in every way.

Since its first appearance in 2009, the 458 model, which came as a replacement to the F430, had a big success, whether it was in sales, or in motor sports, the model from the prancing horse manufacturer was a trouble maker for the competitors. Note that, the 458 had many success in the 24 hours of Lemans, 24 hours of Daytona, 12 hours of Sebring, and other endurance races. Now there is a new model, the 458 Speciale A. A as in Aperta, which means, open in Italian.

The 458 Speciale A, is to be unveiled in this Paris Auto Show (October 4th to 19th 2014). It will have the most powerful naturally-aspirated road-going V8 Ferrari ever built. It is the same 4.5L V8 in the 458, but set to produce a huge 605 bhp (some say it will be jut 597) and 540 Nm of torque @ 6000 Rpm. It has one of the highest power per liter ratios : 135bhp/L. It will be fitted with a 7-speed double-clutch paddle-shift gearbox. Results are, stop to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, stop to 200 in just 9.5, and lapping around the Fiorano in 1:23:5. It will be the last naturally-aspirated V8 to be built by Ferrari. They will be replaced by Turbos V6, and Ferrari said that it is not thinking of eaving the V12’s.

On the outside, it is a spider version of the 458 Speciale. It will use the same folding aluminium hard-top system used by the 16M, the Scuderia Spider, which will give it 50 kg more on the Speciale, to make it weigh 1455 kg. The hard-top folding and unfolding will be achieved in just 14 seconds. It will have active rear and front aerodynamics, and plenty of stability system. The most interesting one is the SSC :Slide Slip Angle Control which changes the settings of the traction control and the rear differential for an enjoyable ride. On the inside, the dashboard, door panels, central tunnel, and many other will be in carbon fibers, because you know, Ferrari is about sport cars.

Only 499 will be made, Ferrari is to announce the price in this Paris Auto Show. All we know is, it will be the most enjoyable, fastest Ferrari Spider ever built
